I have used persuasion by seeing something on TV that I have wanted, then I went up to my mom and asked if I could have it. If I can’t have it, then if she says no, I keep begging and say things like I’ll set the table at dinner time if you get it for me.
I remember that when I was in second grade I really wanted a pet, so I checked out books at the library and told my parents how having a pet like a cat or a dog makes you more relaxed and helps you live longer, and other things like that. My mom wasn’t won over. I’ve also used “persuasion” with my younger siblings sometimes- as in, I’ll yell at you/tell on you/etc. if you don’t stop now. I remember in 4th grade we had to write a persuasive speech in IDEA…I’ve probably used other forms of persuasion in my life but I can’t think of them right now.

One time was when, I was 7 (or 8, or 6, or 9) and they served cake in church. I couldn’t have the cake so my mom said I could have a cupcake when I got home. I forgot about the cupcake at lunch, so I told my mom at dinner (after had already had another dessert) that I would have had the cupcake so I should get it now. (It worked)
A story that didn’t happen to me but that my 5th grade teacher told us that there were theese two siblings really wanted a dog. So they went home nd researched the breed and everything (not overnight). They showed their parents the PPT and by the time they were done the parents just picked up the phone and got them a dog.
Oh I rember that story, and the parents were all mad a Mr. Bulkley for teaching them such good persuasive tips.
Well, whenever i want something i always tell my mom/dad how cheap it is and how everyone at school has them It usally does work.
I remember when I was about 5 or 6, and I really wanted this “Hot Wheels” racecar and racetrack. I saw it on TV and it looked really really fun because of the background and the music playing, so I asked my mom if I could get it for Christmas. On Christmas morning I was so determined to find that box with the “Hot Wheels” cars and track. Finally, I found it and tore it open. Then I had to build the track with my dad. It was all set up and then, it fell apart.
It wasn’t fun and it was a waste of money.
They really got me. I learned a lot from that day.
I have used persuation to get what I want especially when it comes to food. When I want food like soda or one more pancake I ask repedely and say that I will do stuff that I really won’t. But when I want something I Will do almost anything to get it.
I’ve used persuasion a lot of times in my life. One of the more recent times was when i wanted a phone. “But mom! all of my freinds have one!(lies)”
but it worked!
I used persuasion once when my brother wanted an Xbox 360. He told me I could own half of it when we got it, so I went crazy and begged until my mom got angry and bought it
I use persuasion all the time. I remember when i was 4 and i really wanted a basketball. I told my dad that if i got a basketball, then he wouldn’t have to pay for my college because i could get a scholarship. Im not sure if he believed, but i did end up getting a basketball.
